Monday Night Racing With the CSC

Please check the CSC website for complete details,
cancellations and racing start dates:
www.skiclub.com

CSC Racing starts in December...
The Monday Night series continues for 8 weeks with the exception of Christmas and New Year's. You do not have to race every week. Come and race whenever you can.  If you're interested in racing, please email the club and put the word: RACE in the subject line.

Unfortunately, at this time Monday Night Racing is for adults only.

The On-Snow Carnival, which is also sponsored by the CSC and held one weekend in March, does include racing for the entire family.

Winterset also tries to sponsor at least one race clinic each season -- usually on a Saturday at one of the ski areas in Massachusetts.

PLEASE! PLEASE!
Remember; bring your membership card on Monday Night!

You will not be allowed to race for points if you do not have your card with you when you register. ALSO! HATS! Please bring your hats to wear after the race. Our team looks great when we all have our hats on. Remember, you can get your own Winterset Ski Team hat.  Just come out and race one time and you'll get a free hat.

ALSO -- go to the CSC Website www.skiclub.com, News, Event & Info, Racing and see paragraph 3 for information on the MONDAY NIGHT RACING WAIVER FORM that needs to be printed and filled out and brought with you the first night that you race.

COMPLETE INFORMATION ON MONDAY NIGHT RACING CAN BE FOUND AT THE CONNECTICUT SKI COUNCIL'S WEBSITE:     http://www.skiclub.com/

Monday Night Racing: To try it out, here are a few simple steps to get you going.
Ready................Here's the process:

        1)    Are you 18 or older?   Yes?
        2)    You register
        3)    Pay the fee -- cash only
        4)    Ski all night - or as much of the night as you want
        5)    Put in your 2 race runs
        6)    Afterwards lament over all the reasons why your times were so bad. This is done over a little Apres Ski
        7)    You suddenly realize it's not the racing that relieves the stress...it's the Apres Ski

Sign ups begin on Monday night at 6 pm and run until 7:30 pm. Then the first two races start at 7:45 pm; we are usually done by 9:00-9:15 pm.  When you sign in you get your race bib and a lift ticket which is good from 6:00 - 10:00 pm.

This year the club will be buying (a limited amount of) pizza and beer each Monday night after the race - so look for, and join us at the Winterset table upon completion of the race.
