Bi-Annual Installation of Officers

The Dinner Dance is an "old" club event that used to be held on an annual basis. Back in the old days Club Officers held a one-year position, at the end of each year there would be an election of officers (usually held at the annual Pizza Night Event) and then a more formal, adult-only dinner dance, which along with being the last social event of the year was the formal installation of officers and board members for the next year.  This worked well because it gave the old board and the new board, the old officers and the new officers the summer to make the transition and get things in place before the new ski year started in September.

Over the years, as the make-up of the club has changed, there have been less and less members attending this event.  We keep trying to change, arrange and re-arrange this event so that we get a better turn out, so that it becomes more popular and better attended. 

We are now calling it an Installation of Officers and trying new formats rather than a club dinner dance.  The next planned Installation of Officers is scheduled to take place in May of 2012 to install the board and officers for the 2012-2013 Ski Season.
